About

Painter, who has studied visual arts at Maryland Institute College of Art. His work started out formalist approach, focusing on line, color and pattern to define subjects– often the human figure or biological structures to portray in 'semi-self portraits'.

Current focus on creating a sense of space/place using a visual language referencing and echoing both natural and man-made environments and structures; the usage of linear and atmospheric perspective through abstraction—in which the viewer would have the sensation of being in, or looking into a space existing within an indeterminate place between pure abstraction and representation, that did not depict or reference anything existing in the real world beyond vague, fleeting traces of elements that echo the real world—abstraction utilizing the visual language of landscapes, cityscapes and so on.
